Anyone who suffers from migraine help please?

my wife has got migraine, can you please tell me any remedies
that work thankyou

Get her to keep a diary of the foods she eats at what times and any resulting symptoms. Also check /be on the look out for annoying smells - bleach, oven cleaner, husbands shaving cream , hair spray. Too much sun is another factor.

Tyramine is the substance in foods that cause migraines - look it upon the Internet.

Sudden changes in the weather, stress, and hormone fluctuations and red wine can all cause migraine.

Stay away from doctor medications as they all have side effects and they are not worth it. About the only thing they are good for is letting the neurologist know which part of your brain does not work properly.

You can heal yourself/ herself.

I used to have them.. I am convinced mine were hormone related since they stopped when my periods did.
My first step is to take 2 advil gel caps.
If she gets the sore spots at the base of the skull, put pressure on them with her (or your) thumbs. There were times I fell asleep doing this.

Two moves can be done individually or together:
1.Light pressure with fingertips on the closed eyes.
2. have her put her thumbs just inside the ear canal and pull forward hard.

Putting a rolled up towel under her neck when she's laying down helps take pressure off the neck and supports it.

I used to get migraines all the time.. they would last for hours and I would throw up hourly. With the vicodin, if I felt the migraine coming on and took the medicine in time, I could avert the full blown migraine. I had success with advil gel caps too.

My Dr. wanted me to take a pill that cost $90 each. So, I did what MishMash did. Your wife has to find her trigger foods. In the mean time, what helped me was to lay flat on the bed, in a very dark room, put a pillow under my knees so my legs wouldn't be stretched, and a cool cloth over my eyes. Abrupt weather changes, stress, and coffee are my triggers, took awhile to figure it out, but I finally got a handle on it.

Excedrin for migraines

extra strength tylenol works great. and a hot washcloth directly on where it hurts on her head. And if she has lavender scented lotion; let her smell it; it will help loosen the blood vessels that are constricted and causing the migraine. If she still can't get rid of it; she should go on a rx medication. I had to go on Topamax and I love it.

taking a constant treatment of migraine pills, literally have to take 2 everyday to prevent them, she should go her doctor who will inform you of the best ones fo her to take.

i have had migraines for years and i have found that the cool pads that you put on your head and go to the doctors and get a tablet called imigran they are a sumatriptan tablet. you can get them over the counter but you only get a few for your money you will get more on prescription. They do work but give them time to get into your system, there is also a tablet you can get to prevent them happening but i can't remember what they are called but your doctor will. good luck.
