Any ideas on how to deal with migraines?

I have had migraines since I was 2 years old. I have learned to ignore them pretty well and also to try to help them but lately my migraines are far more intense and severe, to the point where I can't go to school. Im just looking for some opinions on how to deal with them since everything that used to work for them have lost affect. Any ideas?

Coenzyme Q10, taken every day, is supposed to be good for the prevention of migraines.

I use Excedrin Migraine when I feel a migraine coming down. If i do it before it actually starts, I usually am able to avoid it. I get migraines mostly from bright lights so I use lamps in my house. When I went to China, i bought this Jade placemat looking thing that you put on your pillow. Jade is very cold and so it is supposed to prevent headaches. I did not have a single episode while I was on vacation so it could possibly be effective. However, I didn't have stress during my vacation, which is another cause of migraines for me. I hope I helped!

Have you tried accu puncture? That might be the answer. Also there is pressure points in your hand and neck for headaches. The one I use is from the bottom of your thumb to your wrist. Try to relax, close your eyes and if possible have someone-if not apply pressure to that area rubbing up and down. If you feel a sore spot on your hand while doing so, that is your headache!

i have really bad headaches to. And what works for me sometimes is to get those pain patches and cut them into strips and put them on my forehead. Sometimes I have also tried rubbing the icy hot on the temples of my forehead and behind my ears. The reason i do behind my ears is cause my head hurts there too.
