Can you get migraines without the headache? |
I get these episodes of vertigo that are really bad. Sometimes there is visual disturbance and sound and light sensitivity, but sometimes I wake up feeling like I'm on a tilt-a-whirl. I usually vomit and I have to stay completely immobile. These episodes last for a few hours (hopefully I can keep a pill down that knocks me out) and they are relatively infrequent occurring once or twice a year. I never have had a headache with them though. I haven't had any hearing loss and don't experience a ringing. This has gone on for a couple years and as far as I can tell has no real trigger especially since I wake up like this. So any ideas? mj -- been there done that, none of the things with vertigo as a symptom fit my condition excepting migraines. I read all those webmd articles. Yes. There is such a thing as an occular migrane. No heache, but periods of visual distortion. They have the same triggers as the classic 'headache' migrane. That sounds bizzarre. That would not be a migraine headache, would it? |
