When I get migraines, I lose vision and get sick. Anyone know what that is? |
I get migraines a lot and when I get them, I start losing vision in one eye. All of a sudden it gets really bright and shiny so I can't see. Meanwhile my head is pounding and I start barfing. It's gotten so bad where I had to have someone come and pick me up while I was out shopping, because it happens so fast! There wont be much option but to go to a medical centre and get checked out. I get sever migraines too and vomit and blurry vision but usually in both eyes and have a terrible time of it. My Dr prescribed medication that mostly helps but I need to get a cat scan. I don't have medical cover and had to go to a private Dr to get a proper diagnosis as the local Dr didn't do much. But I saved up over a couple of weeks to go. If it is that bad you will find a way of going. Good luck. :) The fact that you lose vision in one eye only makes it slightly suspicious. I know that vision distrurbance is quite a normal migraine symptom... but have not heard of it in one eye only. There could be a cause for your migraines.. I really do think you need to get it checked out, if you can. If it turns out to be nothing, there are medications you can take to help with the pain. |

No heache, but periods of visual distortion. They have the same triggers as the classic 'headache' migrane. That being said, vertig... Yes.. you can get a migraine without a headache. If you are still having visual disturbances alomg with pressure in your head it is worth getting it checked out by a doctor. ...Yep sounds like a migraine....throwing up, auras,sweats, pain? The monitor is just making them come on more. Diet helps, chocolate, caffeine,milk/dairy, some people things like wheat all these ... Have you been to the doctor??
