Migraines in the morning.? |
I got my first migraine 3 years ago, and since then I have about 2-3 a year. There are many triggers for migraines. Sleep disturbances, TMJ problems, teeth grinding, weather changes and even carbon monoxide are considerations, but it should be understood that most people have their migraines in the morning. It is, however, very common for people to complain more later in the day as the headache becomes more severe. I wonder if it might be associated with TMJ. If so, I suggest accupuncture. Accupuncture has been a miracle for me for TMJ which was causing headaches, face pain, shoulder, neck, and arm pain. Seriously I absolutely have gotten the best results using accupuncture. If you do decide to do it, FYI you'll be sore for a day or two and then.....wah lah....hopefully no pain. caffeine Were you overheating, too warm? Or did you have eye strain? The bright light is indirect eye strain. Darken the room, and see if you can elevate your head or entire torso comfortably, to relieve blood pressure to the head which may be causing vascular pressure and nerve pain. Relax, think good thoughts, not about the migraine itself. If it goes on for a similar period, up to 5 days or a week, see a medical doctor, or sooner if you continue to be sick and are dehydrating yourself. If there is a lengthy wait, go to emerg or a walk-in clinic, so that you catch it within no more than a week. Get some water now, 6 to 8 glasses a day. pl see what suits you. |
