Migraines or Tension Headaches???????

I have been to several Doctors about headaches I have had for over 8 months. I have been told that I had Migraines, and someone else said Tension headaches. I have tried about 7 different prescriptions now. Nobody knows. The pain stays in the same place in the back of my head where my skull and spine meet. Plz help if you know what it might be....

There's about a dozen recognized headache types, and the symptoms overlap a little,so its often difficult to identify the type of headache. What you have is definitely not a migraine, but very well could be a tension headache. Migraines are very distinct from other headache types.

Since the medications are not working, its possible the headaches are caused by a physical problem in your spine (ruptured or slipped disc, misalignment of a vertebrae, or severe muscle spasm). You might benefit from visiting a licensed massage therapist, physical therapist, or chiropractor.

Have you tried excedrian, tension headache? I have tension headaches and my neck hurts so bad.. I finally found something that works, excedrian works for me and I love it, the pain in the neck and my head are gone within a half an hour, give it a try, hope I helped.
