Migraines after pregnancy? |
My son is now 8 1/2 months old. Before having him, I'd get a headache once in a great while...take tylenol..an hour later I was fine. But about two months after having him (around the same time I had an IUD put in) I began getting migraines....first I feel lightheaded and my mouth tastes metallic almost and then the migraine kicks in...it results with me praying to the porcelin gods and laying on the bathroom floor freezing and shaking until I fall asleep...Generally after throwing up, taking tylenol, and sleeping for several hours I wake up feeling fine, but they're progressively getting more frequent and worse. The last one last one started two evenings ago...I just felt the symptoms but never got sick. Then last night the pressure got worse at around 2:30 am and I ended up in the bathroom getting the shakes and praying to the toilet all over again. Still feeling bad now at 9:30 am. Anyone have an experience like this or any ideas? honestly i dont have migraines, my sons 8mths now, i have a feeling it has to do with ur IUD, have u spoken to ur GP about it? i think u should book an appointment quickly cos its not fun having ur head pounding with a screaming or crawling baby around. get well soon when I get my migraines I take Excedrin for migraine, it works really good, I used to go to urgent care when I couldn't stand it no more, but all I got was I think it was called Hydrocodine, which would put me to sleep, and I need to be awake during the day for my kids, so at the first sign Excedrin works for me. |
