What do migraines feel like? |
Is it a really bad headache or something much worse than that? Last night I saw something like prisms or waves out of the corners of eyes and then a few hours later I had a bad headache. Some say migraines are crippling...I did manage to get to the store for motrin and it did go away (but I feel it creeping up again). I just want to know the difference between a bad headache and a migraine. honestly if motin took it away, i dont know if it was a migraine. i have suffered pretty much all my life with them and NOTHING over the counter helps. i have taken preventatives for years (about 10 ) and that was the only thing that got my life back on track. even some of the prescription drugs do not help me. some people can function more than others during an attack,,and not every attack is the same as the last. find a good migraine web site and do some research, see if you can pin point a trigger. many things can cause a migraine, food, weather, smells, bright lights, etc. I get migraines and they are painful, they usually have other symptoms as well, nausea, bothered by light and sounds. I go into a dark room with an ice pack and keep that on my head until the pain lets up. Drugs don't help me, because I can't keep them down. |
