Has anyone felt "electric sensations" while having a migraine? |
I have had migraines for about six years now and I am under the care of a neurologist. My migraines seem to have been getting worse lately. When I get them, it feels like I get bolts of electricity pushed into the side of my head. Hard enough that it pushes my head a bit. I know this sounds very strange, but I am hoping that someone else out there that reads this has had this and has been diagnosed because there are no meds that are touching my migraines and my doc has not yet to run a test. The basic symptoms I get are extreme sensitivity to light, pain in the back of my eye and at the base of my neck and sharp "electric" pains that shot across my head and actually make my head twitch. I really hope that someone has had this same thing and has been cured or diagnosed and can help me out. has any of the people you've seen suggest that the cervical spine discopathy (dislocation) is the reason ? a chiropractor or osteopath can easily fix the condition. just remember all head aches are external never ever inside your head, but on the scalp and neck muscles, take drugs to reduce pain like muscle relaxants, even aspirin is good There is much help for you! Your neurologist may have to refer you to a 'headache' specialist. Your 'electric' sensation is not unusual with migraine headache. Some people also see lightning flashes. You're not strange. I take TORADOL just as mine are coming on and it seems to work if I catch it in time ! Could you also have a sinus infection? My husband had feelings like that when he had a real bad one. Our body is live with electricity produced in body. |
