Question about migraine aura!?

A few months ago I experienced what I think is a migraine aura. It just happened to me again. While I'm reading sentences, some of the words sort of disappear and its hard to read. I don't have any other symptoms, and I only get a very mild headache afterward. It usually lasts for about 15-20 minutes and then goes away. Is this normal, and should I get it checked out? According to my understanding, it can be quite common...

Yes it could be a migraine aura. Migraines aren't always seriously painful....they are just a particular sort of headache.

HOWEVER, what you have also described could also be caused by other neurological problems of the sort that are best treated early and not ignored. Although it's probably just a migraine aura, because you don't seem to have a medically established history of migraines it would be best for you to get checked out. I don't want to scare you but I want you to know that I have lost two friends to "weird headaches" that didn't get checked out soon enough. Don't get scared....but do get checked out.
