What you describe is called an "aura" and is very common with migraine patients. I get them right before I get my migraines, and it's just about the only warning that one is coming on.

Here is a very helpful link that will describe it more in depth for you... http://headaches.about.com/od/migrainedi...

yep those are definitely migraines
my eyes do the same thing before i get one

if you don't get them very often, say maybe only a few times a year, the doctor probably won't give you any prescribed medication until you start having them more frequently. I know that I personally didn't get a prescription until about a month ago. I've started having them about once a month, and they got to the point where I would have them for days at a time.

If you don't have them frequently, but its taking more than a day to get over them, and you are getting all the symptoms (nausea/vomiting, sensitivity to light/sound/smells) you probably should go see your doctor, and see what you can do.

I know, they're bad! Just make sure that when you get one to stay in a cool, dark place. Make sure you don't overexert yourself or expose yourself to too much right after you've gotten over one either, or it might come back just as bad as before (I know it's hard, but trust me. I found that out the hard way.)

I hope this helps some!

hello
please go and see a doctor and ask for an MRI scan.
I almost died because i ignored my headaches for so long, by the time i finally got round to going i had a tumor the size of a lemon in the back of my brain. I realize that mine is an extreme case (and i am now recovering well from surgery) but i would advise anyone suffering from frequent headaches to get checked out just in case. The scans nowadays can pick up the various types and causes of headaches and so whatever is wrong can be treated accordingly, be it by pills, surgery or simply a new pair of glasses.
Running in the sun if you suffer from migrane is probably not such a good idea either!
for your own piece of mind consult a doctor or better still a neurologist.
hope helpful

i used to get that when i was middle school. it was from grinding my teeth. odd, i know. but i had to get braces to fix my problem. you might want to see a doctor to make sure nothing is wrong with you. if they say nothing is really wrong i would ask about mouthguards. some people cannot stand them and for others it works wonders. it might something as simple as knowing what the problem is, then you will consciously try to avoid grinding your teeth (if thats the problem)

I get these all the time and I take ibuprofen, and drink alot of water with it. I would go to the doctor also and just tell them what is happening. Also, visit an eyedoctor. Sometimes your eyesight gives you migraines. I really hope this helps you, and feel better!

well i would get checked out by the doctor, because you could have a brain anurism.thats nothing to play around with, my cousin dies from one, the day of her drs appointment, so please have it checked out, asap!

I would suggest seeing a doctor and describing all of this to him or her. In the mean time take some ibueprophen (as if you havn't already) and make sure you are well hydrated- all my migraines are caused from not drinking enough water.

good luck!

Go to a eye docter you need glasses do you skiunt your eyes alot? if so thats why you get them! So go to a eye docter and let them check it out and get eye glasses prescription

Go see a doctor possibly enquire about Relpax its a safe non addictive treatment for Migraines.

Never heard of a light on a eye,
But you should def. go see a doctor.

SEE DOCTOR :|
