Are these migraines or just headaches? ?

over the summer, i got headaches with pressure on my eye area and temples almost everyday (possibly from the heat). I cant do work properly or think straight when i get these headaches. my school has started and everyday this week i get these same pains but also with muscle pressure around my neck and shoulder areas. I eat 3 meals a day, and I exercise. Could I possibly be having serious migraines or just headaches? If so, what should I do to relieve my pains besides going to a doctor?

i get serious migranes i dont think i have the pressure in the shoulders but def a little pain. The difference is un explainable , a migrane is unbearable and you cant stand sound or light. I used to take prescription imitrax, you can take excedrin migrane it is good b/c it has caffiene. If you get one take a hot shower take 2 pills then lay down to get it away. To avoid them stay away from citrus , cheese and alot of dairy they for some reason trigger it , i def would get some excerin to have handy ( also a nice up of coffee or tea) also take advil to alternate. If it dosent get better get the prescription meds.

I鈥檓 a migraine sufferer so I feel for you. My highly uneducated opinion is it sounds like you may have a tension headache. Either way, I hate to tell you, but you need to go to a doctor. You need a true diagnosis and the right meds. They will probably want to do an MRI to rule out anything else. You can try some over the counter stuff (they have it for migraines and for tension headaches) but they don鈥檛 usually help. If you are in school can you go to an on-campus doctor? You need to be careful. I鈥檝e heard recently that severe, frequent migraines are being linked to strokes. Trust me -bite the bullet and go to the doctor. Don鈥檛 listen to anyone who tries to give you a home remedy, and do NOT take anyone else鈥檚 prescription.

some symptoms of migraine are
