A migraine that will not go away??!?

I get migraines from time to time. Usually I can take either ONE Zomig or ONE Fioricet and lay down and they will pass pretty quickly. As of now, Saturday afternoon, I have had a migraine since Wednesday afternoon and taken multiple of both of my migraine meds and nothing is helping. The headache is accompanied by nausea, dizziness, pain/pressure sensation behind the eyes and ears, and of course sensitivity to light and sound. I had to call in from work because of it yesterday. I am not sure what I should do but I cannot stand this pain.

Of note, I am a female age 25 who does use birth control, Ortho Evra patch, and smokes cigarettes, 1/2 pack or less per day. Not sure if pertinent.

Well i used to get migraines too. so i know what im talking about
Migraines shouldnt last this long so i think it might not even be a migraine it could be something else, i recommend you get a CAT Scan or another type scan to make sure everything s alright if you havent already. Smoking could have had an effect on these migraines so try to stop for a couple of days and see if smoking is a factor, also stress starts many malicious thing in the body that make it become insufficient. also because the medicine your taking is strong try to use somthing like advil or ibuprofen. hope this helps.

I would call your doctor and ask him what to do. or go to the hospital.

my mom gets migrianes and sometimes they get so bad she has to be taken to the hospital to get a shot.

I used to suffer horrible migraines from the age of 19 to 45 then my
doctor turned me on to B-2(riboflavin). I have now been migraine free
for a year and a half!

Be sure to drink fluids and take tylenol. Some caffeine may help. My roomate had this same problem and we ended up going to Emerg so she could get some releif.
