From this person's mom: Can someone with chronic migraine apply for permanent disability? |
I have not worked in 12 years. The older I get the worse my migraines have become. I go to a neruologist and regular internist and take daily medication. I am 49 year old female. Yes! you will be put on SSI and medicaid (or you could try to get regular disability which may or may not pay more a month, off a spouse or xspouse) Go to your local Social Security office and apply or call Social Security's toll free number and apply over the phone. Also apply locally for medicaid in your state which will get you foodstamps and free medical treatment. One of the people at this answers link has a very good explanation. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... No you can not, they will tell you it is possible to function under the meds, if your neruologist stood up for you, ud have a better chance but i doubt it |
