Ideas about migraine and cluster headaches. oxygen? any other ideas. please help!? |
i heard that breathing in high concentrates of oxygen increase the blood flow in you brain and help cure headaches and migraines. Most migraines are caused by inflammation or swelling of the blood vessels, and increasing blood flow would probably cause them to dialate further, increasing the level of pain. The best treatment for a migraine is usually something with some caffeine in it, like Exedrin, and to avoid bright lights and loud noises. Headaches can also be caused by stress and dehydration so make sure to try and manage your stress levels and get plenty of water. Oh, and flourescent lights and aspartame(an artificial sweetener in most diet drinks and sugar-free candies/gums) have been proven to trigger migraines in some people. |
