Why do I have an aura before a migraine headache? |
I am 16 and whenever I am about to have a migraine headache I see lights wherever i look and it feels terrible I wanted to know if anybody knows why I see lights before a migraine headache You actually might want to have your eyes checked out. Seeing light and if you see a lot of little dots is the first sign or retina detachment. If you have insurance and could go to an eye doctor I would say it's worth checking out. Your description sounds more like 'ocular migraine' than migraine aura. None the less, all three symptoms (including the migraines themselves) are of a supernatural origin. An aura is just a part of a migraine. Everyone who gets migraines doesn't get them but a lot of kids do. What are you taking for your migraines? I take zomig and it works great but its really expensive because I am under 18. i have them before mine. its basically like physic thing like ur body knows ur gettin it. go to dr and get Naproxin or Imitrex.. For me naproxin made it worse but imitrex helped. |
