Can the mini pill Carazette , clear my menstrual migraines without side effects like intermittent bleediong or |
I have taken the carazette for 8 weeks and have bled more than I used to but great, no migraines , also had bad skin, which didn't have before. I am 48 but not perimenopausal..... You should have been warned that you might suffer dysfunctional (erratic) uterine bleeding for 13-26 weeks on Cerazette. (As with all mini pills). This is usually a temporary problem and after 6 months increasing numbers of women stop having periods at all on mini pills, 70% by one year. I am not convinced the deterioration in your skin will resolve though. You are a little temporally challenged to use combined OC, and there is not much point in trying other mini pills, so your options are limited. Your contraceptive options come down then to perhaps the Mirena coil, which might just also decrease your menstrual headaches, without upsetting your skin, and vasectomy. ( The best form of sterilisation!) Source(s): GP for more years than I care to remember I'm 46. For the first 3 months of taking Cerazette I bled then suddenly it stopped - fantastic absolutely no spotting or periods after that. What a great invention. i may self should speak to your dr if un sure I took Cerazette and for the first 3months i had near enough non stop bleeding, but after that nothing at all so its worth sticking with unless it gets unbearable. But cerazette is really effective! Keep going, but discuss with ur dr if you feel its a major problem and they may suggest something else to help! Good Luck! I was on Carazette it took my periods away for 5 months nothing at all I stoped taking it and I have just come on now it feels good to know that I am alright in myself and not worry about it I won,t be taking it again. own experience |
