People with Multiple Sclerosis (or relatives) please help...? |
My husband has MS and we are trying to look into alternative solutions for this disease. So far the regular medical doctors are interested in 'maintaining' his current condition, but I wanted to know if anyone has learned to control it or manage it on their own. Has anyone had success with meditation, yoga, acupuncture or anything else. Thanks! He suffers with paralysis and lesions (he is paraplegic now, with no recovery from the first attack) but has only relapsed twice in three years with recovery. Hi DeeDee I have suffered with MS for 20 years and I don't know of any really good remedies for it. I do take acupuncture once a week as well as massage therapy once a week. Vitamin D is also good, I take that every day as well. If his symptoms are bad then maybe take mega doses of Vitamin D. Get lots of exercise if he is able. My symptoms get worse at the onset of a cold or flu but on a day to day basis my MS is tolerable. I guess I have learned to live with a lot of the symptoms but I thank God that I am not yet in a wheel chair. I hope he does well and is able to control it. Hate to say it..but MONTEL SHOW has a lot of info and access...he has MS also...go to his page and you can read what's current and also E-mail him...he will get back to you.... I don't use any of the crab drugs but I use LDN (low dose naltrexone) which is a generic drug that has given me my life back. I also swim three days a week and eat a balanced diet. If you would like to research LDN just go to ldn.org. Hope this helps. |
