Can people with Multiple Sclerosis colour their hair? Will hair dye cause changes in the brains of MS patient?

Can people with Multiple Sclerosis colour their hair? Will hair dye cause changes in the brains of MS patient?

I have had MS for many years and have colored my hair for almost all of it with no problem. If there is an issue, it's be because of a med and not because of the MS.Hair dye wont affect the brain

Two of my relatives have MS. One of them went to have her hair colored, and because of the medications she was on, her hair ended up looking like as she described it, 'a tarantula'. The color apparently ended up taking in certain areas, but not in others, kind of like a checkerboard. I personally would be very careful of chemicals.

I have MS and I have never heard that people with Multiple Sclerosis should not colour their hair. Nor can I imagine how the dye would cause changes in the brain of a MS patient.

If you're in doubt, ask a neurologist.

Remember to do an allergy test to the dye whether you have MS or not.

Yes, anyone with MS can dye their hair. Hair dye doesn't cause any changes in the brain for anyone regardless if they have MS or not. If hair dye affected people's brains it would not be on the market. The FDA would ban it.
