Multiple sclerosis info plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

i have ms does any one have any tips about sharps pains at night and other problems

If your sharp pains are the same as mine, it's called Neuropathy.There are several meds that can be helpful. I take cymbalta.Also try taking a cool bath before bed.for some reason that helps me..
Ask your Dr for further med options I'm sure there is something that will work

The only time I had bad pain with my MS was when I had flare-ups of the disease. These lasted maybe a couple of weeks. Although I'm told stress has nothing to do with the flare-ups, it's funny they only occurred when I was under a lot of stress due to an auto accident and a family member with a heart attack.
Numbness seems to be the main problem, although mine is not bad. Hot weather bothers me quite a bit. (so what the heck am I doing in Fla.?) Balance can be troublesome too. If I'm standing I usually try to lean against something or be touching something solid so I don't lean to one side or the other.

I'm so sorry you're suffering with those sharp pains at night. My Mother has MS (and I might), and she deals with a lot of pain with her MS. It takes so much from you, doesn't it?

Are you involved with a support group of any sort? If you would be interested, I can recommend a very good email list for MS support. The people there are wonderful! I know you'll find help there, including for the Betaseron questions you had. :o)
