Can people with Multiple Sclerosis have breast implants?

Has anyone been diagnosed with MS and then had a breast augmentation later? I'm not asking about breast implants causing MS. I'd just like to know if it's okay to get implants when a person is already diagnosed. I'm emberassed to ask my doctor and I haven't gone in for my consultation yet.

And eh, don't give me crap about boob jobs. It's a personal choice and has nothing to do with the question.

Thanks guys!

I'm not an MD, but I'm a PhD who has worked in MS for 8 years. My opinion is: Yes, go ahead and get the implants. You'll be sore and swollen for up to a week and will probably want pain killers the first couple of days and an anti-inflammatory but this should have no negative impact on your MS. Good luck!

OK, This is what I was told about elective surgery and MS.
Because it is believed that MS may be an auto immune disease, some surgeons will not preform elective surgery. It is believed possible risk of an exacerbation.I would LOVE to have a boob lift and tummy tuck so Keep us informed to see how you do !

Yes you can have implants with MS, assuming that you don't have chronic progressive type. Don't be embarrassed I guarantee your doc has heard a million times worse.

i have a friend who had ms that doesnt have issues anymore try going Gerson it might work for u
