Multiple sclerosis: cause my relationship to fail, diagnosed 3months after the split how do I explain?

Hello,
I am a newly dianosed with MS bring an influx of emotions. I am relieved because i have an answer for my disabilating behaviors that effected my ex's life as well.

My heart weeps for my ex, my Superman: the pain, the tears, the heartache. Multiple scelorsis brought in my realtionship,
I was weak he took care of me. He made sure my world went around. I felt gulity. I didn't not have the "life energy" to particapate in Our Life. I began to withdraw.
we broke up. we are now aquaintances. His family and him think I am the symtoms of MS. I want Superman to know that Louis, is Human. But she is MS, More Super that is.

First of all let me express my deepest sympathy for the ordeal you went through and are going through. Perhaps you could use my explanation of what is MS to explain to your ex-quite a superior human being by the way- that this confusing behaviour, symptoms, with months of remissions and sudden relapses is not a set of strange behaviour on your part but a very serious neurologic disease.
What is MS? In our vertebral colum we have an important part of our central nervous system: the cord. This nervous bundle is protected by a sheath of myelin material.
In an attack of MS some parts of the myelin around the cord are infected. (probably as an auto immune attack: the defenses of the body attack the body. This is probably due to a genetic malformation. After some time the infection subsides, but a scar (sclerum) is left on the myelina. According to the location on the cord of the sclerosis, the corresponding motoric nerves will be affected and the patient will lose partial or total mobility in the corresponding limbs. Then a period of remission sets in (months or years).
I do not want to finish this on a somber note: there have been recently some important discoveries on MS treatment (interferon for example). I could give you some medical references like the New England Journal of Medicine but I think it is better you read some vulgarizing sites via Google. I sicerely hope I contributed something to help you. My best wishes.

my marriage broke up and my MS was a major factor. Please visit my support group;
