Convention or online meet about multiple sclerosis?

I was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (sigh) at the meer age of 13 years old but anyways, is there a convention or online forum that talks about MS and where people can associate with othere MS sufferers?

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society sets up and funds peer led meetings all over the United States. You can go to their website which is NMSS.ORG and find a meeting in your area. There are also Yahoo groups that you can join. May I recommend MS Resources right here on Yahoo itself? The moderator's name is Maggie and she is an experienced MS counselor. If you google Multiple Sclerosis support groups you will find quite a number of groups that you can attend that are funded by hospitals and MS organizations across the country. Likewise Google MS chat. There is plenty of support for us folks with MS. I have had MS for almost 20 years and I assure you that there is plenty of life after a diagnosis of MS. Take good care!

I was diagnosed at age 12. Before I began going to conventional meetings for people with MS, I did a lot of online meetings. If the online meetings are difficult for you, I would wait before going to the conventional ones. They can be very emotional. I eventually made it to the in person meetings but i still prefer the online ones. Many people with MS are stuck inside so conventional meetings arent an option.

Try them both, see what you like.
