Dogs linked to multiple sclerosis?

my Oma(grandmother in german) passed away years ago at the age of 65 from m.s. my parents seem to think that ms is linked to living with dogs and cats...is this true? i cant find any science to back it up. and by golly i want to rescue a dog. preferably start with something shorthaired like this guy http://newyork.craigslist.org/fct/pet/11...

thanks for all ur help!

I don't think you will find anything to back this idea up since I think your parents might be the only people to have ever had this theory - they would have to pioneer the research if they wanted to back it up!

I think if there was a link between pets and MS it would've been noted by now.

I know lots and lots of older people who've lived their whole lives with animals without having MS!! Have you asked your parents how they came to this conclusion?

Chalice

I don't think there is any science to back this up. I have never heard anything of the kind.

Absolutely not. There is a link though between living with 20 cats and the smell of ammonia in a house.

If only this could be true? Unfortunately it is not correct.

no there is no link between M.S. and pets of any kind.
