Amantadine and multiple sclerosis?

Hi,
who use Amantadine for fatique ( MS)? I found a lot of articles about this medication. Sounds - Very interesting. Please let me know.
Thank you

According to my wifes's neurologist Amantadine helps about 50% of all people with MS fatigue, and that makes it the anti-fatigue med in MS most effective (all the other helps fewer than that). Like he also said: Whenever there is more than one medication/treatment for one thing, that is sure proof that there is none that is 100% effective...

It's true that it is not yet clear WHY Amantadine helps with MS fatigue (that it does was found out by "accident", when people with MS were being treated with Amantadine for influenza), but it is clear that it does.

My wife wasn't helped by it, she was probably one of the other 50%, but that shouldn't stop you from trying. I don't know what, if any, anti-fatigue medication you are on now, but if what you are on now isn't helping (or if you aren't on anything), then a try with Amantadine is very much motivated. Ask your neuro about it!

There is not enough proof or tests on this to say for sure. If fatigue is really bad I say go for it in case that it will help you. I have heard the MS fatigue drags people down hard core.
