Any one have any info in multiple sclerosis, is it painful to some?

im just wondering I was dignosed with it a few months ago... I have to give my self shots 3 times a week to stabalize it. I heard that it can be painful (the MS that is) i dont feel like I have anything wrong with me at all.....right now im still young so I hope we can stabilze it before it gets too bad! Why do some people have pain and were do they get the pain? No websites please just stories or INFO thanks

My best friend has MS and she does have pain pretty much all of the time, she can never get comfortable in her wheel chair or in bed, really there's no place where she is comfortable. She's had MS for 15 years or longer now. Most folks don't ever get as bad off as she is. I've read only 25 percent will require assistance to walk, like a walker or a chair. MS has a wide variety of symptoms. My Friend for instance has severe memory problems, others I've met don't. The national MS society has a great deal of information on MS, including support groups. Lot's of women lead a normal life with minor exacerbations a few times a year, just always, always take your medicine. PS what I think is her most unusual symptom is her inability to recognise tastes anymore. She used to hate prune juice, but we give it to her all the time because she gets constipated frequently, we call it grape juice and she thinks it's great grape juice. She's always hated okra, but I can talk her into eating it and now tastes pretty good to her.
It can be painful to some...
employee's child contracted it at 19 years old...
awww Boots. I am sorry you are going through this. Honestly the only person I knew with it was when I was a kid & I don't remember a lot about it. Good luck though. :)
My mom has MS, and yes it's very painful to her. She's unable to walk without a walker, she can't climb up the stairs without help. She said it hurts real bad, especially during the winter.
The most common early symptoms of MS include:

Muscle symptoms鈥攎uscle weakness, leg dragging, stiffness, a tendency to drop things, a feeling of heaviness, clumsiness, or a lack of coordination.
Visual symptoms鈥攂lurred, foggy, or hazy vision, eyeball pain (especially with movement), blindness, or double vision. Optic neuritis (a sudden loss of vision and eye pain) is a fairly common initial symptom, occurring in up to 23% of those who develop MS. 2
Less common early symptoms include:

Sensory symptoms鈥攖ingling, a pins-and-needles sensation, numbness, a bandlike tightness around the trunk or limbs, or electrical sensations moving down the back and limbs.
Balance symptoms鈥攍ightheadedness or dizziness, and a spinning feeling (vertigo).
