Is it illegal to consult people about herbal medicne (naturopathy) without a liscence? |
my roomate is practicing naturopathy. she does not have a liscence, but has been to some school with a doctor who got a degree from online. is it leagal for her to take on clients like patients, make concoctions out of essential oil for them to trustingly take, not knowing the dangers? If it is not where do I report her and her cousin? correct you need a license to prescribe herbs. chin A herbatologist cool. No, contact the local health department. Don't think so. Yer not dealin wit a controlled substance. If she is taking Patent's and calling them shush instead of clients and does not have a business license its against the law This law very state to state .As long as the call it a (((food substance ))and not a cure they can get away with it. My husband is a chiropractic physician in the sate of UT All she need is for the state to set her up if she doesn't pay taxes or have a license and if she calls theme's Patients she could be called practicing medicine without a license Start with the licenceing in your state it should be. probably. i think it would depend on what state/country she is in. if she is diagnosing people with diesease that havent been diagnosed by a licensed and qualified person then she is definetly breaking the law by practicing medicine without a licencse. i dont think any online medical degrees are worth the paper they are printed on... imnot sure about mixing up herbal concoctions. it may be considered practicing pharmacy without a license, or it may not (since the drugs are not regulated by the FDA). im not sure on the specifics of the laws. you could write the state medical board and they could give you a sound legal response of can dos and cant dos either way, she would probably have considerable legal responsibility if someone was harmed from her services and decided to sue |
