Proper nutrition(vitamins and minerals) for bodybuilders and athletes? |
I already take whey protein. Most supplement manufacturers (Twinlab, EAS, Optimum Nutrition, etc.) has multi-vitamins and vitamin packs. Personally, I think vitamin packs are a waste of money since they usually costs $15-$40 for a one month supply whereas most multi-vitamins are stocked in a 100-130 (and more) days supplies and the cost is no more than $35. Make sure first you're eating a variety of wholesome foods, which you should and must be if you're bodybuilding. If you're not getting a variety the safest start would be a multi vitamin that doesn't exceed the RDA requirements to keep it safe. The answer is pretty simple. Take the number one rated multivitamin on the market. Dr. Lyle McWilliams wrote a book called The Comparative Guide to Supplements. It rated a multivitamin called "Essentials" as the best. usually in weight gainers they have all the branched chain amino acids and other vitamins and minerals already included into the whey. Hi, if you are thinking of becoming a bodybuilder, supplements that I take are creatine, protein shakes, multi-vitamin, and glutamine should be your core supplements. You really don't need anything else if your diet is on track. Check your whey protein. A lot of them have added vitamins. |
