Health/Nutrition?

How does this article "Obesity contributes to global warming" relate to health/nutrition?

Article:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080515/hl_n...

Well How does it not? Its right there in black and white. Obese people eat more food so the rate of consumption is like one person equals 3 or 4. I saw a documentary on one person that weighed 1000 pounds and what he ate per day was enough to make me sick if I just smelled it.

I really disagree with this article. I know a lot of thin people who drive everywhere because of where they live...It's ridiculous to try to blame global warming on the increased "natural resources" the obese use. If they're so obese they probably don't eat a lot of produce so that argument is specious.

I would like to know what percent of transportation is used for produce which they use as example in article? The obese probably don't eat that much produce so their nutrition doesn't contribute to global warming...thin people do.

I would like to know who paid for this study...probably the insurance companies.

One could argue that "thin" people exercise much more than obese people producing more carbon dioxide than sedentary "obese" people do so there too, thin people contribute more to global warming.

Hope this helps

Global warming will cause more disease and a shortage of food (nutrition) and more natural disasters that will make it harder to maintain good health.

The contribution to global warming by obese people has perhaps been somewhat exaggerated as most global warming is caused by pollution from industrial activities, home activities, motor vehicles and many other causes.
