Can an Owner of a Nutrition Store tell people..?

I worked briefly at a Nutrition Store and heard the owner on several occassions tell people they should sue Tylenol or he has given people certain herbs other natural substances and it has cured them of cancer. He can eliminate diabetes wtih another natural substance. Can he get into trouble doing that. Oh, he has no formal education just so called experience.

If he can't do that legally then how do I put a stop to it before it really hurts someone?

If he can do that legally is there a way to warn people of his bad business practices?

Okay...I don't have a prob. with him as an x-employer because I worked 4 Saturday only, was paid under the table, and was sexually harrassed the whole time. I was concerned for the people I saw coming into the store. If I wanted to nail the business owner I would get him on sexual harrassment.

If he is telling people he is a doctor then yes he can get in to huge trouble, civil and criminal. If he is making no claims to be a doctor then he is doing nothing wrong. He is telling them what he thinks/ has seen happen and there is nothing wrong about that. Many people claim herbs and vitamins can cure disease when medicine can not. It is actually a good business practice to tote what you sell. People can choose to believe hm or not believe him--he is not forcing people to take them.

since he is proclaiming non medicinal remedies, not sure if that is illegal - if the customers have half a brain, they will know whether he is a quack or not and react accordingly

He can tell them what ever he wants. It is only illegal if he is telling them he is a doctor or other health care professional when he is not.
