Can you good good nutrition by just eating salads? |
Im not overweight or anything but i want to get healthy and put on some muscel. So if i eat salads everyday and nothing else and drink nothing but water is that good nutrion, if the salads have like chicken and stuff for protien or would eating nothing but salds be poor nutrion and bad for me? and if not what should i eat No. Having nothing but salads is good but you may not get the required amount of protein you need but if your salad consists of green peas and beans then you are ok.A little chicken will suffice once a while. Too much salads would generally be undernourishing yourself. Instead, try having a high fiber breakfast cereal for breakfast every day, nothing but salad for lunch every day, and salad + something else like red meat or fish for dinner. include corn for carbs, chicken/fish for protein. maybe a slice of multigrain bread too. a spoonful of virigin olive oil too. and as the person before me said have flaxseed oil for omega 3. if carbs and protein dont form 25% each of your total intake, you will get strong cravings for all the wrong stuffs. but soups and salads in large proportions are just what the dietician ordered! Nothing but salad would be bad for you. You need way more protein than you will get even if you add grilled chicken. Not to mention all the vitamins you will be missing out on. Throw in a lack of Omega 3 acids and you're not very healthy. Eat a healthy -Balanced- diet. No thats not good. Your body needs a balanced diet... Being healthy vegetarian way is better... You can eat oats(carbohydrate n has sugar for energy)groundnuts not peanuts! (fats n carbs) Vegetables n fruits(fibre n vitamins)try eggs(protein, fat, carb)water is good.... Cereals...n plenty of exercises...(6 days a week for 2 hours is good enough) |
