Question about nut's nutrition?

I have been trying to eat more nuts lately for their obvious health benefits....i know that some are better for you then others. I am looking for what would be the best kind as far as lower in fat, calories and carbs and higher in fibre and protein .... aka which ones are best for weight loss. ive heard good things about almonds and soy nuts?? thanks!

ahhh i love nuts. i actually read an article the other day about this. I don't remember the details. The only thing i do remember is the answer to your question, which you already know! ALMONDS :) and the plainer the better (avoid coated with salt, etc). These are higher in fiber, lower in fat, and have the best properties overall. I read you should avoid cashews and peanuts as well as macademia nuts. Not sure about soy nuts but i know soy is good for you. Pistacchios are really good for you too.

yup..best way to go. It's okay to eat others, but almonds are the best overall. Report Abuse

All nuts are about the same as far as fat, calories, fiber and protein. Different nuts do have some different vitamins in them, though. The best things is to get the mixed nuts. Planters has a heart healthy mix of nuts that includes almonds, peanuts, walnuts, pecans, and pistachios. This way you are getting all the benefits of the different kinds of nuts.

It is best to get plain nuts. Don't get honey roasted or sweet and crunchy or ones like that. Also, remember that although they are very healthy, they are still high in calories. So, you want to stick to no more than 1 serving of nuts per day. I believe this is around 30 nuts. (Read the label for serving size).

i dont care wich type i just get the mixed version put i like macadamian
