Vegetarian help, nutrition problems?


what pisses my dad the most is that i wont eat fish, he says that fish have very important nutrients that if i dont get i would get the goiter , so does any one know how i can stop that from happening ?! what are the alternatives so i would get the nutritions that are in fish ?!

Iodine is a trace mineral that is found primarily in seafood, but if you're getting enough salt in your diet, you will probably be getting enough iodine.

Seaweed and wholegrains are sources of plant iodine.

Iodine deficiency causes goiter/goitre, which is a swelling of the thyroid gland in the throat. If you are concerned about your iodine intake, take a supplement.

i dont think its THAT big of a deal if you dont eat fish.

You can just consume flax and hemp seed oils instead.
