Does anybody know about McDonald's nutrition, if you make it your way?

I usually eat a plain double hamburger with lettuce only. No cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, or onions. How many calories is this? Fat? Protein? Carbs? etc.? Thanks.

The lettuce is basically nothing. So it's fine to eat.

Here's the facts for the plain double burger with no cheese/pickle/ketchup/mustard/onion

330 calories
15g total fat
6g saturated fat
1g trans fat
55mg cholesterol
510mg sodium
28g carbs
1g dietary fiber
19g protein

There's not much you can do to make food served at McDonald's "nutritious."

Although you improved your hamburger by eliminating the cheese and pickles (actually the onions, ketchup and mustard all have health benefits, so you may as well have left them there!), the BUN ALONE has 200 calories, at least 3 grams of fat, and about 400 mg. of sodium. The meat probably doubles or triples those numbers, thus giving you more calories than anyone should get in a single meal, more fat than you should get in a single meal, and almost all the sodium you should get in an entire day!

Much better to buy a VEGGIE BURGER on a WHOLE WHEAT BUN (if you can get it), and leave the fresh veggies and mustard and ketchup in place. (No cheese or mayo, though!)

If you can't get a satisfactory veggie burger at McD or other fast food outlet, why not make your own? Buy yourself some whole wheat hamburger buns (Franz makes a good tasting one) and Morningstar Farms GRILLERS (their other veggie burgers are healthy, but Grillers taste the most like the real thing. Boca burgers and Gardenburgers are also healthy, but don't tast that great).

I know meat is supposed to have proteins, but I am not sure about the McD burgers...and bread is usually high in carbs. The best way for nutrition is to avoid McD at all costs.
