What topic should i pick for my major research report for food/nutrition course?

Basically i have a major report (ISU)(independant study unit) its for the course food and nutrition in grade 12. I need a topic with tons of articles sources and information if someone can pick top 3 from the following that would be ever so nice.

Food allergies, calcium osteoporosis, effect of caffeine, lactose intolerance, food for athletes, women & iron deficiency, malnutrition & elderly, colon cancer & fibre intakes, childhood obesity, folic acid& neural tube defects, food additives, vegetarian diets (concern for protein), artificial sweeteners effects, diabetes, anti-cancer food, soy beans-food for future, Trans fats, cholesterol & arteriosclerosis, sugar: (dental, hyperactivity, obesity, diabetes) , low car diets vs. Canada鈥檚 food guide, dietary supplements (safe?, new? Needed?), digestive disorders, hypo glycaemia, high protein diets (effect on kidney), organic foods (government regulations, terminology, new technology), fast food, Eating disorders: anorexia, Bulimia, Compulsive eating (choose 1), Fad diets (South beach diet, Atkins etc Choose 1), Serving sizes (have they changed?, effects on weight, attitude, learning ability), Tap water vs. bottled water, Holistic medicine, herbal supplements, Red wine (benefits/ heart health), Salt (hyper tensions & risk to health), chocolate (flavorids, healthful properties).

I think the easiest one would be Fad Diets. There are tons of them out there. You can turn on the TV and see commercials for like 5 different ones in about 20 mins.... Jenny Craig, Nutri-System, Weight Watchers, etc....
Fast Food would be another easy one. Everyone knows that fast food is pure garbage, yet American's can't get enough of it! Watch the movie, "Supersize Me" if you want inspiration.
One topic taht wasn't on here that I thought would be good is Vegan Diets VS. The Meat and Dairy Diets. You could explain the benefit of eating Vegan (or Vegetarian) as opposed to a diet consisting of meats and dairy. For example, you can explain the health benefits of a vegan diet as well as the effect it has on our environment... or the negative effect that the meat and dairy industry have on our environment. Also, the ways in which the meat industry is a "dirty" business - sick animals being used in food, causing mad cow disease, poor working conditions for slaughter house workers, the horrendous abuse of animals to promote the USDA, etc.... I could go on and on. Wow, you should just hand me the assignment because I would be all over it with this topic!
Good luck! :)

Veganism if that's an acceptabe topic. I did a paper on this and it was really interesting (and I got a good grade)...

What about the myth of organic foods being better for you? Is that available?
