I need information on teen veganism nutrition...? |
I am 15 and i have been vegan for 3 weeks now... I am really worried about not getting enough proteins and vitamins and such... I tried to search up just vegan teen information but so far i have not been successful in finding a good website... And my dad says vegans get their proteins and stuff from dairy and eggs (but in actuality that would be a octo-lavo-vegetarian)... so please give me websites so i can show him and so i know what to get... Thanks in advance!!! Vegetarians eat animal produce such as honey, eggs, cheese and other dairy. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine has a Vegetarian Starter Kit which should answer most of your nutrition questions- just be-cuzz your a teen does not mean that your no diffrent then others. im a vegan and im only 14 and i been a vegan for a few months .i get all of my vitamins from vitamins pills and i get my proteins from B12 what i recommend to you is participate in the webinar by Dr Yinka Davies on October 7, it specializes in nutrition for kids and teen. You might learn A lot of valuable information I think you're hung up on the word "teen", your nutrition information isn't any different from anyone else's. Try looking it up again. Vegans get their protein from beans and nuts. |
