Nutrition and food questions?


I was really bad today and ate a whole loaf (not as big as a regular loaf though) of soy & linseed bread. I had vegemite and jam on them (not together) and soya margerine. The package of bread says 620 grams.

Carbs: 34.8 per 100 grams
Fat: 2.7 per 100 grams (Saturated: 0.3 per 100)

Now what did i just do to my body? I realise I need to stay away from carbs because I don't realise I'm full till I've eaten everything in sight, but I'm not one to leave out a food group (unless it's meat and dairy which don't count as food groups more like cruelty groups- go vegan!) and i usually eat very well. But I don't think I should give up carbs because I think giving up a NATURAL food group is wrong. Potatoes are our friends.

What are your opinions on this? Should bread just be avoided if you can't control yourself? what does this gorging do to our bodies does it just make us gain weight? How do we include carbs weight-consciously? (I'm 70 kgs that's about 140 pounds i think) Should pasta/potatoes just be eaten in the morning?

you cannot avoid carbs completely. if u do, u will get cravings and end up eating the way u did. so make sure u have some amount of carbs

carbs are not your enemy, they can be stored as fat if not burned off but without carbs for energy will body will use protein from your muscles, im not sure how many grams you ate, or how many carbs your body needs in a day, or anything else you ate, but you'll be fine, just remeber everyones allowed to have "cheat days" in their diet!
