Nutrition verses Medication?

Hello, I have depression.. I am just wondering if I could use food, exercise to get over the depression? I am not interested in anything anymore... but I dont like medication... Please I dont want medication and I cant afford it also..

can it help?

I was in a vicious circle. I was depressed because I was overweight and I was eating because I was depressed. Ever since I started dieting and working out I feel so much better about myself. I can use all the feeling and let is out at the gym.

I would say do it, if it doesn't help your depression, at least you have burned some calories.

of course you can. eating right and exercising makes you feel much better in many ways. write down some goals like "run in run-for-cancer" or something, and train to follow through with it. or try watching the food channel and attempt to prepare the dish, assuming it's healthy of course.

Exercise sounds like a great idea!! Buy a pedometer and try walking 10,000 steps per day. You will be keeping your mind occupied and not think of your depression. If you can find a buddy to walk with, it will give each of you an incentive to do better. Good Luck.

Yes, you can use food and exercise to get over depression. Just eat in small portions, eat fruits and vegetables, Oatmeal cereal, whole grain foods.

You have to eat .See a doctor you may not need medication but if you do there are programs that can help you pay for medications.
