What is the first thing you should determine when reading a Nutrition Facts label? none of the above..... look at the percentage of fat in total calories. Regardless of the serving size, the percentage will not change. There are other things to consider, especially if you have health restrictions. I look at SUGAR first, since my husband is diabetic. I look at CARBS second, since that affects blood sugar. Then, I might look at calories and fats. Other people might be looking at SODIUM or CHOLESTEROL amounts first .....Suggested serving sizes are usually way too small, but only good to determine the actual number of the other ingredients in what YOUR serving would be D.
