I was wondering if anyone can tell me, what type and how many degrees are there regarding nutrition? |
And how long it takes to study to get any degree. I've always found it easy to remember things about how foods effects the body. And well I'm thinking about going back to school. I think I'm ready for a change. If you are really wanting to work in nutrition, you will most likely want to become a registered dietitian. Many bachelor's degree programs offer this program along with the required internship /work experience necessary to become a registered dietitian. Most of them are called nutritional sciences, dietetics, human nutrition, or something similar. You have to make sure you take specific classes required for the internship. There are also numerous master's degrees relating to nutrition - dietetics, nutrition, human nutrition, exercise and nutrition, sports nutrition, etc. I've almost earned my MS in Exercise and Sports Nutrition. Just know that to to become a dietitian, it takes quite a bit of school and science courses. But to be recognized in the field, that is really the only thing one can do. There are also numerous PhD programs in nutrition. Source(s): i'm a registered dietitian |
