What Can America Do About Obesity In America? |
I'm doing a speech on obesity in america. I would like feedback on what policies do you think America should put in place in order to lessen obesity in America. We all know excercise and better eating habits but everyone doesn't follow the advice so what policy should be put into place by the government to stop obesity? We can stop genetically modifying our produce and pumping our livestock with hormones and steroids. I travel the world and we really don't eat more than our foreign counterparts; we do however fill ourselves with these hormones and steroids when we eat our domestic food supply. Come on.... 80% of our countries population is obese! If anyone is trying to convince you that 80% of us are overeating pigs, then think again.... I'm not sure if this is already done but i think that if the government put a restriction on the amount of nutrition food had, it would limit the amount of bad sugars and carbs that we eat without us even realizing it. Absolutely NO policies, you filthy little neonazi! It is NOT the place of government to dictate individual health practices, except in some miserable fascist nightmare. If people are fat, it's their own responsibility to live with it. first the parents of these obese children, need their head examined.their the ones who are taking them to the fast food places, for what ever reason, lazy, don't want to cook. etc.etc. I have seen it when I was a waitress, its real sad. we don't need the government telling us how to eat. parents are the one's who need to be responsible for the well being of their children. and how and what they eat. GET RID OF MCDONALDS!!! http://abcnews.go.com/search?searchtext=... We do in Canada have some healthy policies, but the consumers don't necessarily see them... We don't FORCE them. When it comes to health, Canada is the greatest American country to help its citizens, since the governments pays when people goes to hospital, its not a business like in the United States to get people sick. |
