Obesity caused due to what reason?

Obesity caused due to what reason?

There's a few reasons that cause obesity...

1. Over-eating... due to stress or love of food.

2. Thyroid, diabetes, or other health problems, that causes a person to gain weight and not be able to lose it.

by over eating

over eating, especially unhealthy food, and inactivity

Overeating (fast food especially) and lack of exercise... bottom line... taking in more calories than you are burning for a long period of time.

See a thin person? Look at their lifestyle... they probally aren't sitting on their butts eating bon bons. Age is account to this too, I was really stick thin and I stopped walking and started eating at restraunts and gained alot of weight over the past year. If I stopped eating out so much and walking 3 mi a day everyday again I would be just as thin. It's caused by the person and how they choose to live.

In many cases the cause of obesity is genetically determined.
However, obesity is prominent in certain familial conditions, constitutional diseases, chronic alcoholism, etc.,.
In certain diseases like Cushing's syndrome, Dercum's disease, Frohlich's syndrome, Lawrence-Moon-Biedl syndrome, etc.,.obesity is the prominent symptom.
Certain hormonal imbalances like hypothyroidism, ovarian disorders, tumours form another part in causing obesity.
Psychological and emotional factors, also play a major role in the development of obesity!

Hi,
Here are a few reasons.
1. Over-eating
2. Health problems
3. Hereditary reasons
4.Psychological problems
5. Inactivity
The main reason is because of over-eating.
Good luck,
Hope this has helped.

Poor eating habits and lack of exercise.

Too much salt and not enough water.

Never buy chips cookies Ice cream Fat foods etc.

Eat healthy meals, cut back on red meat.

Change your metabolism by increasing your activity level Try a brisk walk around the block before dinner,

Drink more water/ drink a glass of water befpre a meal

Big thing is to learn portion control. Get a calorie book and see what portions recommended or read the lable. Sometimes a bottle of juice is three servings and you might drink it all at once. Never supersize anything.

Your stomach doesn't get the messege that it is full until 20 or 30 minutes. If you want more food. Get out of the kitchen and tell yourself to check the clock and then usually your stomach weill tell you that you are full. It works very well for me.

Also there is emotional eating. Find the root of the emotions and work on them.

I am an emotional eater, it comforts me. Ice cream and mashed potatoes with lots of butter.
Not good.I need to redirect that obcession to use food for comfort and chage that behavoir for a healthier behavor. Sorry I am very tired and can't spell LOL

There is also a inherited propensity for obesity. It runs in my family, but looking back on how the generations have eaten and not exercised. you personally can work on changing a family flaw.

Also a huge mistake some people make is to not eat much all day then pig out on dinner, Or just starve them self. Good food is fuel for your body, you put in junk and your body turns to junk. Also going long stretches without eating sends a message to your brain that you are in a famine- your body now is trying to store up fat so you don't starve , but you arn't starving, you are not eating then eating too much at a time.

Best way to avoid this is to have three good meals a day and snaks like an apple or yogert or something healthy

Change eating habits. Change your activty level.

Taking in more calories than you burn. Yes, there are medical causes for obesity but, far and away, the most common cause is overeating/high fat & sugar diet along with lack of excercise.
