Obesity because or personal responsibilty or corporate america?

Who shoved that big mac down the fat kid's throat? Corporate America or the fat kid?

Everybody is just looking to cash in on being a "victim". I think at some point people have to take responsibility for what they put in their own bodies.

Personal responsibility, corporate America is not holding us hostage, preventing us from going out and getting some exercise.

A little of both but the final decision belongs to the individual

You cant really blame all the problems on ones self. We are a product of our enviornment and if our enviornment doesnt take the initiative of showing us positive habits then its just as much of their fault for advertising it as it is for us endulging in it. And it is kind of hypocritical to think otherwise. It is obvious, what our enviornment produces/advertises for us to consume or view can form into our daily lives. Like sex, society is big on the view of lust and you cant say that doesnt play a part in alot of our social lives. Who do you blame for abusive type sexual relations and relationships? Sex would probably be still very sweet, intimate, and tender if not for porn exploiting it. Think about it.

Personal responsibility. I realized it only after my clothes started getting smaller. I had to change my eating habits and start working out to correct the problem. Some people's issues lie deep within and food is only a symptom of a greater problem. But ultimately nobody from the corporate headquarters of McDonald's broke into my house at night with a cheesburger under my nose and a gun to my head.


EDIT: I just read David M's answer and I agree when that "fat kid" is an adult, but children can't make the decision for themselves, that responsibility is on the parents. If children could make those decisions wisely there wouldn't be parents.
