Do you think judging obesity by body weight and height is viable?

Every time I enter my body weight and height into BMI calculators, I get informed I am obese. Not just overweight. Obese! I am a size 14 (I'm a laaaady). The clothes fit comfortably and my flies don't come undone so I am sure I am this size. So, is a size 14 considered obese these days?

Personally i don't think BMIs take enough into account. What's more important is things like your blood pressure.

Also remember muscle weighs more than fat.

I think BMI's are way way out. Everyone is different, and large people are not necessarily large because they overeat. Some people have serious health problems causing them to be large.

Obese is just the buzz word of the moment I think!

No,Im considered very obese also by this guide.Im a very muscular woman.
Its better to go by your waist size.Measure yourself at the navel. The healthiest size should be 32 or lower. This is what I go by.
