Bulimia vs obesity...?

Those who can avoid both - just do so, and don't patronise those that can't. Those that do have to choose - what would you choose?

I chose bulimia, now I am trying to recover from it, I am not obese but weigh a "healthy" weight, I go to the gym and work out 7 days a week, (I know I should do rest days but the fear of being fat is too big) I have heard that excercising to control calories if you eat too much is also a form of bulimia, trouble is, I eat healthily. I have porridge for breakfast, 50 grams plain soya nuts for lunch and tow apples in the day to snack on. For dinner I eat lentils, either caulliflower or brussel spouts and melon for desert, I only drink diet lemonade, a cup or two of tea and water. Still I am not thin and feel too big. Maybe bulimia was the better option, I was thin back then (BMI 14 or so) but atleast I felt better!

Ask John prescott, he suffers from both!!!!

Seriously I would rather be overweight. I suffered from Bulimia years ago, and it's NOT plesant. I have damaged my throat, teeth (acid erosian) stomach muscles, kidneys, and I used to get through hundreds of pounds worth of food in a week. I would binge for hours, and then purge myself, by making myself sick. I got so bad, I didn't even need to stick my fingers down my throat, I would just bend over the toilet, and the lot would come up.

There are different types of bulimic's. John prescott was not a very thorough bolimic, as he is still overweight. I was thorough, and wouldn't rest until I was sure my stomach was completely empty, and I was very underweight. Fortunately, I managed to kick my bulimia. sticking my head down a filthy public toilet (which I did if I ate when I was out) helped to cure me. I now council others with the disease.

Bulimics are generally normal weight and some are overweight so I'm not sure I get the question do you mean
anorexia vs obesity

BOLEMIA, DEFINITELY!!!
They're both pretty bad, but with obesity, you have a chance of needing surgery(liposuction, etc.), and with bolemia, you just go to rehab or something...

Bulimia, I couldn't live being fat. Can you imagine not being able to move without breaking a sweat!?
Crazy.
:(

I could not chose. They are both equally as toxic and deadly in my opinion - guess I'd rather die fat and happy though!! At least I'd have gotten some good meals down first!

I would choose macrobiotic.

John Prescott has both....
