Besides obesity, how does soda effect youth? be specific?

for debate.

Caffiene addiction is one of the most common effects from soda. Caffiene and the sugar quantity in soda causes bad sleep habbits. Once the soda rush comes off then you are tired. Mountain Due in males can effect at any age sperm production. Tooth decay problems in teeth increase because soda is high in acidic content. Soda also deteriates the lining of your stomache because of the high acidic content too. Which in time can lead to medical surgery procedures as it can kill you when that lining is deteriated. I had a girl in my algebra class that happend to. Did she quit soda after that when required by doctors orders? No. Soda effects all ages the same in reallity inluding obesidity.

Can harm your teeth and can cause kidney stones.

If this is for a debate, do not source Y!Answers. Look up whatever people tell you here and find actual sources. For example:

Artificial sweetener can wreak havoc on the body's insulin levels, which causes varying periods of high and low energy. This, in turn, can lead to many negative medical conditions.

(Go look up what artificial sweeteners are used in sodas, their side effects, and if there has been any controversy as a result of their use).

caffeine and sugar makes them stay up late, then they are tired in the morning, and do poorly on tests. don't forget the sugar is bad for the teeth. helps to cause diabetes. doesn't coke eat away at your stomach after long periods of time or am I just making that part up?

Soda is packed with "empty" calories, meaning the youth get absolutely no nutritional value from soda. Growing youth need good nutrition and calories for developmental purposes. Not to mention that youth need to develop good eating habits, which does NOT include soda.

Makes them hyper and they can't focus, causes cavities, sorry that's all i can think of

it will make them have bad teeth, they will get dehydration, and after the caffeine energy they will extremly tired

Like said earlier, artifitial sweeteners still produce an insulin response (negative). Regular soda is just sugar which will also produce a negative insulin response. There is no debate. Soda is bad for you. Sugar-free or otherwise.
