More obesity help...?

I'm 25, weigh around 610 pounds, and I'm still gaining weight. Because of my weight I'm immobile. My 22 year old sister has to take care of me. I'm not sure how to stop my addiction with food. My sister is around 230 pounds and eats junk food a lot, so then we have a lot of junk food around the house. She eats McDonalds and Burger King often, so then I eat it. Sadly I use food emotional crutch. How can I stop my eating habits?

Just so you know, I'm a woman...

You need professional help. That much weight isn't because of just overeating. As you said yourself you use food for emotional reasons.Until these reasons can be brought out into the open and dealt with, your eating will most likely continue.

You should see a Doctor. You may have heart and other health risks at that size. You sister could join you and make it a sister project.

You've got to get serious. There's not an easy way to do this.

Talk to your sister. Tell her you guys need to do this together.

I love food. And losing weight's been a huge battle for me... But finally I just got disgusted with myself and chose to start exercising. And eating better.

You'll feel better once you start losing weight and see results. You won't be as tempted to eat anymore, because that'd make all your hard work for nothing.

Start doing just a little bit of exercise at first. (You can do tons of stuff in bed!) Such as lifting your legs and sitting up and back down (if you can). And tell your sister you don't want anymore McDonalds or BK no matter how much you beg.

Swimming is a great exercise so that you won't hurt your knees and back. So it'd be awesome if you had a pool.

You can even get an online trainer! http://exercise.about.com/gi/dynamic/off...

Good luck and I'd love to hear more from you!!

Aww *hugs*
Hun, you need to get some help. You're 25 and on the way to your death bed. I honestly wish I could come and help you.
I have never been that big, but I do know what it's like to be 230lbs and eat junk 24/7.
It's hard not to eat ****, hard not to binge on things that taste good. I don't know what I can tell you, it has to be willpower that comes from within yourself.
I would suggest finding out what calories are http://www.calorie-count.com Learn how to count calories. Find out how many you need a day to lose weight, and try not to eat over that, no matter what you're eating.
Would your sister go to a grocery store for you? Please get her to if she will, and get anything there that's not chips, chocolate or pop.
If you have to eat the fast food, try to get the healthiest thing on the menu (find out on calorie-count.com), and get less food.
I wish I could be more help. Find your inner strength and really want this for yourself, because you are worth it.

You have to come up with some type of a reward system, this will help keep you motivated. One of the best things to do is make a contingency contract. Stating what you want to do, who will help you do it, and what do you get for doing it.

Then also try to find a well balance diet program. My friend did this one diet program where the average weight lose is 7 pounds in 9 days. It might be the thing you are looking for, I know it's well balanced. If you want e-mail me and I can tell you more about either of these.

I know this answer probably isn't what you want to hear, when I had serious problems, I certainly didn't want to hear it, but seeing a psychologist, or counselor could save your life. I know that when some people have problems, they self medicate, but the relief is always temporary, and you just end up feeling worst then you did before. Being able to talk to someone who won't judge you, no matter what you say, is an incredible thing. So, thats my advice. I hope everything works out, and you find a way to be happy with yourself.

You might enjoy what your eating at that very moment. But just think of how much of a better life you will live if you lose the weight? You will feel so much better about yourself. Good luck man.

email me. tamnmark@hotmail.com I would like to help.
