Why do fat people always blame glands on their obesity, or some equally nonsensical condition? |
after all have you ever seen an ethiopian with glandular problems I don't blame it on nothing but myself. So I don't know who the hell you been talking to. This is such an uninformed question on so many levels it's hard to know where to begin! Ethiopians are literally starving, they are suriving on hardly any calories a day. If an overweight person is eating the recommend amount of calories a day but still gains weight, then it is is either a case of physical inactivity in which case they need to exercise more or it can be linked to having a low metabolism possibly caused by an underactive thyroid. because, they are disgusted by themselves and wish to death that it were that simple. they want to believe those things so then they will not blame themselves for the obesity. It's a coping mechanism. and also, sometimes it's true. lol. Because really fat people can't face the FACT that they are fat because of their own lack of personal discipline and so, nothing could be their fault... you wouldn't expect them to say "I'm fat because I keep stuffing my big fat mouth with fattening foods", would you?... of course not.! A lot of them do because they don't want to take responsibility. Some few because it is a med problem, but, that's rare. Being obese is actually a mental health problem, unless the problem really IS glandular, etc. Overeating is a disorder the same way anorexia is. More attention needs to be paid to that. Are you saying that fat people blame the existence of glands on the fact that they are obese? So if they lost weight they would also lose their glands? That makes no sense. I've never heard a "fat person" use that excuse. I think the two reasons I've heard the most are "I don't exercise enough" and "lawl I eat too much." it's convenient to blame ones problems on some existential thing. Because they want to make an excuse so they don't feel responsible for their own weight problem Because it's easier to blame glands, etc. then to face the truth. |
