Longer Life Expectancy vs. Obesity?

If peoples' life expectancy is getting longer, how much longer is it getting each generation? And what is the life expectancy of today's teenagers? I heard that the life expectancy of a teenager in today's world is likely to be over 100 years... Is this true? Surely, this can't be a good combination with the obesity crisis going on as well. I don't want to make it sound like EVERYONE is getting obese, but it's definitely starting to become that way, and what good is a longer life, when you're more at risk from heart disease and strokes in "later life". And if obesity decreases your life expectancy, how can we constantly be told our life expectancy is getting longer only to be told two minutes later that obesity is taking younger lives, and more people are becoming obese...?

Depending on which study you choose to believe.
Half of the country is exercising, eating nutritiously and have access to health care....these ones Will live longer

The overweight, obese, diabetic, heart problems that are already in place, unless they can change their life style and eating habits are not going to reach the potential of their life expectancy....the State of Mississippi has the highest rate of overweight, diabetic people in the Country....Much of this is attributed to eating habits of starchy, fat foods and sweets.
They are on a program now to improve not only their health but their life expectancy....good for them..
Often ones financial status, eating habits, lack of health care, and ignorance attribute to health problems.

I don't believe these studies, the kids are sitting at computer hours on end, eating a fast food places and getting no exercise
Everyone drives instead of walking or riding their bikes, so I do not see where they got their figures from, but for my part I would not want to live to be 100, that is just way too old for me anyway. thxs .

have of what you just said was true.... people are now saying that our life expectancy is going to be longer but not over 100 years long, few will make it that long, and obesity doesnt have anything to do with the life expectancy if they take care of them selves by eating good, they could just be natuarlly over weight
