Do you think it should be considered child abuse if you feed your child to obesity? |
I found this picture and couldn't believe people let their kids get like this. I think it should be a crime, unless they can prove it's genetic. What do you think? I feel very strongly on this subject. Kids and adults with obesity, are just appalling to me. Where kids are concerned I feel whole heartedly it should be charged as Pre-Meditated Attempted Murder. The fact of the matter is, medically they are knowingly killing their children. Obesity kills. Yes, I do think its abuse. But instead of punishing these people, I think we need to start taking a better look at why obesity really happens and food addiction. I think we need to have more programs that allow low income families to actually be physically able to purchase healthy food. I think we need to have more programs that teach parents how to feed their child in a healthy manner. In some cases, I dont think it is all intentional laziness. In some cases, I think they just dont know any better. They are depressed, obese with a food addiction themselves. They have been that way for so long that dont know how to do it differently. chances are the parents are big too. I think it's crazy that people let their kids eat junk food all day. my daughter is lucky if she gets a piece of candy once a week! and my friends say I'm strict with junk food. I feel I need to be because I don't want my child to be obese. but I was also raised that way my parents where strict on me and my siblings junkfood in take. if it's genetic then you can get the help you need but if you are letting your kids eat crap all day long then that's what happens. I have seen this on Maury once the kids where huge and the parents where feeding them enough to feed 10 people! Yes. Starving your children is considered abuse because they can develop health problems and even die. Overfeeding your children should also be considered abuse because they can develop health problems that could lead to their death. I don't see the difference between the two of them. Definitely. Obsesity is ridiculous in adults and especially disturbing in children. if someone was starving their child to death it would be abuse. They're both mal-nutrtion. They are giving their kids a handicap in life. Eating disorders, getting picked on, all the horrible health effects. The list just goes on. most likely the parents are over weight them selves OR the kids are food hoarders and sneak food so parents wont see them. BUT it is the own parents fault for letting their children get that out of control with their weight. if you beat your child to death then you would get put in prison but if you fed them to death , thats ok apprently yes that is horrible the parents control what goes in their kids bodies! it's wrong |
